Evaluation of a Brain Health Village

The Brain Health Village concept has been developed by Respond - a leading Approved Housing Body in Ireland - and the Global Brain Health Institute.
A pilot study is taking place on a social housing estate in Baltinglass, a village in Co. Wicklow. In 2023, Just Economics was commissioned to conduct a longitudinal developmental evaluation.
The evaluation will cover both processes and outcomes and, as a developmental evaluation, will inform the design and implementation of the concept. The aim is to better understand how the concept of brain health can be applied in social housing and explore whether the approach can improve outcomes for tenants and in turn be scaled to tenant management more widely.
